NH Wing Cadet Encampment

Last weekend, 17-19 April, Maj Leary, Capt Smith, 2Lt Keisling, TFO Marquis, TFO Hullinger, FO Pepper, C/Col Bellingham, C/Lt Col Feindel, C/1st Lt Clough, and C/CMSgt Hill joined me in leading the Staff Evaluation and Assessment (SEA) weekend at the Ethan Allen Firing Range in Jericho, VT.

It was a long trip for the NH crew; but, a worthwhile venture for all that participated.  The facility lent itself to a test of teamwork, problem solving, astute observation, and attention to detail.

It is my pleasure to announce dates for the 2009 basic encampment at Norwich University, Northfield, VT. Basic attendees will report to Norwich University on Friday, 10 July, remaining on campus through graduation on 19 July.

As many of you already know, the encampment experience at Norwich University has left an indelible mark on the careers of our cadet enlisted attendees, leaving them with memories of an immensely positive experience. On a personal note, after attending three consecutive encampments as a staff member, the experience continues to leave an indelible mark on my CAP career as an officer as well. I am continually amazed at the caliber of cadets that come from our respective units, and always swell with pride after seeing reward for the perseverance of every encampment graduate as they receive their certificate. It is my hope that cadets and officers alike will consider attending this amazing embodiment of our core values: integrity, excellence, respect, and service.
