This year, we have a lot of plans to keep family, friends, CAP members, and the general public informed of the happenings at encampment. Here's a brief outline of what we have in store for "live" updates from encampment:
- Twitter -- this year we're on Twitter, and plan to "tweet" about most every major event the cadets participate in. To follow us, log into your Twitter account and find "EncampmentTweet" or visit our Twitter page.
- uStream -- another exciting prospect is to have some of our classes and events broadcast via streaming video and audio over the uStream service. An embedded viewer will be added to this site for all to see; or, you can view our page on the uStream site.
- Photo Sharing -- although we don't have a method at the time of this posting, we do plan to have an active photo gallery containing the best of the best photos from each day. Last year, we captured over 3,000 individual digital photographs in 10 days. This year, we expect to have at least that many, and anticipate even doubling that number.
We hope that this additional technology will keep everyone informed and entertained as much as the cadets on campus. These are just a few of the ways we are bringing encampment a little closer to home!
