Days 6 and 7
A little rain and a little sun today...
Over the past couple days, the weather has been hit-or-miss. We experienced another day of pass-through thunder storms today. On Thursday, the weather at Burlington caused the Black Hawk helicopter rides to be canceled. Although it was an unfortunate and unavoidable situation, we were able to make productive use of the time by allowing the cadets to take care of their inspection readiness.
Today, the cadets had a fun time doing the climbing wall, rappelling tower, and obstacle course. We received compliments from the instructors that our cadets are respectful and motivated! Hooah cadets!
On tap for Saturday:
The BIG inspection. Senior command staff will do a final detailed inspection of uniforms and rooms to see what progress the corps has made. Then, we have a social event scheduled for the cadets. Senior staff will serve hamburgers and hot dogs BBQ style.
